National Clinical Systems Modernization & Multi-Hospital PAS Migration
Context
Directed the critical data migration, architectural mapping, and business intelligence delivery stream for the landmark Tū Pono Āroha initiative. This massive digital transformation successfully decommissioned three fragmented, 30-year-old legacy patient administration systems across Auckland Hospital, Starship Children’s Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre, and regional outpatient networks. Led a specialized squad of technical analysts to execute complex source-to-target data profiling, extracting and normalizing three decades of clinical business logic into a modern InterSystems TrakCare architecture and a scalable Databricks Data Warehouse solution. Personally architected the implementation of the enterprise data catalog to map metadata lineage, designed programmatic data reconciliation frameworks for rigorous testing validation, and served as the primary advisory interface aligning data requirements between internal clinical teams, engineering squads, and the Ministry of Health.
Impact
Transformed historically isolated, high-risk legacy infrastructures into a singular, high-performance, and entirely audited clinical data ecosystem—eliminating data debt, securing institutional continuity, and providing executive leadership with bulletproof, governed visibility for national healthcare reporting.
